I almost forgot how much I adore this woman.
She was eccentric and weird-as-fuck before it was acceptable and encouraged to be eccentric and weird-as-fuck (in the mainstream musical world, at least. No, Blondie and Madonna, as awesome as they are, don’t count).
Listening to the likes of Siouxsie Sioux (as mentioned above), The Cult, Material Issue, X-Ray Spex, 80’s U2, Stiv Bators, The Partisans, De La Soul, Dion And The Belmonts, and of course, Morrissey, reminds me of being a sophomore in high school and walking around my old block in my worn-out, too-small-for-me (seriously, the sleeves cut off mid-wrist) jean jacket from Aardvark’s almost every evening to escape what ever my world consisted of at the time, dreams of New Zealand in my head. I’m not romanticizing that image either. I really did want to live there (and thought I could) at one point.
I doubt I’d go back to those days if I had the chance to, but I can’t deny that these recollections make me a tad wistful.
Alright. Exit nostalgia and enter the future.

$110 is a reasonable amount to spend on a toothbrush…
Sonicare is worth every penny of that in preventative dental care.
I try not to be a hater, but….it really drives me nuts when certain people type “lol” at the end of everything. It’s not far from people who nervously giggle at the end of every sentence they speak. Also, tagging post on any social network with “lol” is the laugh track of the internet. You do not tell me what is funny. I can figure it out for myself.
Starting to see these populate bars and restaurants. They claim to last 8x longer and use 1/8 the energy of normal bulbs. I don’t know if that justifies the $30 each price point. ROI is hard to gauge when you try to plug increased ambiance points into the equation.
I need to research whether or not these are CFL bulbs. CFLs DO have some benefit, but most of them can not be dimmed. For me, I strongly dislike CFLs because I am sensitive to the flickering.

I generally hate obnoxious branding, but this is brilliant as hell. (I still wouldn’t wear it)
